What RAM raider stands for really, when you break it down is freedom of speech. It's empowers the honest journalists to be able to say 'actually, don't spend £40.00 on this title, because it's not up to scratch, go buy x instead' By denying journalists copies of reviews in exchange for 5 brown noses up, means that the industry controls the journalism and turns it into marketing. Every good journalist knows the basics: Who, What, Where, When, Why? If story is that Ubisoft are asking Assassins Creed 2 to get 5/5 stars in a German publication before release to improve sales then that's far more of a fucking story than the type of behaviour it condemns. This isn't about content. It's about credibility.

Often I'll ask for review copies and be asked what the output of our site is and how many listeners we have. Maybe one day it'll be based on how much of a shine I can polish a turd up to. For this reason, I kind of like reviewing independent titles.

It's more down to the 'journalists' who publish everything he comes out with, then later mock him for getting stuff wrong. The guy is employed as an analyst and nobody's sacked him yet, so he must be doing *something* right, mm?

The iPhone one is in the middle, neither wrong nor right. If you look at that graph, it looks like it is a gaming platform, but do you honestly know anybody who has an iPhone who won't get a psp or ds solely because they already have an iPhone as their gaming device. The kind of games on the iPhone are stupid, and the people who play a DS or psp would not replace their games with that, so I say it is simply adding a new aspect to the market. What was the total revenue in 2008 and 2009...I bet it went up.

EIDOS has and always will be a f*cking awful publisher/dev.
Most of their titles were either stolen- Legacy of Kain (just go ask Silicon Knights about that, dropped into their laps because the dev house died because they were felating John Romero: Thief, or were simply IPs they acquired from other more talented devs they snapped up,IPs which they for the most part ran into the ground.
I'm glad they no longer exist in all but name thanks to Square Enix.
